SSI Recreational Scuba Professionals

SSI recreational scuba professionals whose status has been cancelled may return to active status by completing the required steps, which vary depending on how long they have been inactive.

Note: If you hold active certifications in another SSI category (e.g., Freediving, Extended Range, or Swim), you only need to meet the requirements listed in the Recreational Scuba Training Standards to reactivate your scuba status. You do not need to complete reactivation processes for the other categories.

Minimum Instructor Rating for Reactivation

  • Divemaster Instructor may complete the Divemaster reactivation process.

  • Assistant Instructor Trainer may complete the Assistant Instructor reactivation process.

  • Instructor Trainer may complete the reactivation process for all recreational scuba professional levels.
