The new SLS Slide and Lock System small is the latest generation ballast system from Mares.
Ease of use is ensured by a large handle and a tunnel on the jacket which controls the insertion of the ballast pocket so that the male buckle is aligned with the female. A finger is then used to push the slider in, which is followed by a loud "click" but also by the appearance of a green closed padlock in a special window that replaces a red open padlock.
Mares Rock Pro BC
High-performance, high-tech, lightweight: a great choice of dive BCD
The Rock Pro BCD is the new version of the reliable, durable Rock model with an integrated weight system- Has excellent durability thanks to its design and the refined selection of materials used.
The innovative integrated weight system allows quick release of the weight pockets. In addition, the ergonomic pockets minimise water resistance during a dive.
The Mares Rock Pro BCD is super resistant made of 420 denier Cordura nylon, with Tyrpol reinforcements on the shoulder straps and pockets and provides a great fit.
The Rock Pro is definitely among the most durable of Mares BCD models and is adapted to different kinds of dives. Adding to the features of the Rock BCD, includes an integrated, quick release weight system.
The backplate includes Tyrpol padding for better comfort.
Thanks to special design innovations, chest compression whilst diving is avoided, with the connection between the bladder and the harness allowing the bag to expand outwards.
The Rock Pro jacket is equipped with six strategically placed, stainless steel D-Rings for safe and easy use.
The pockets also include special openings for storing the octopus and the pressure gauge or console.
The quick-release buckles are made of high-strength technopolymer.
The ventral buckle is 50mm and the shoulder strap buckles are 40mm.
The Rock Pro is also equipped with a 20mm buckle on the chest that incorporates a whistle that can be very useful in an emergency.
The jacket is equipped with two dump valves, one on the right shoulder and one on the lower right, in addition to the inflator hose manual dump valve. All valves are 'low profile' for minimum bulk and drag.
The Rock Pro comes with two tank attachment straps for more stable, secure positioning.
Whilst inside the right pocket, is an elastic loop for securing small accessories.
The low weight of this model makes it ideal as travel diving equipment.
Dragon SLS BC
The fit is excellent and the performance is enhanced by the separation between the buoyancy bladder and straps, allowing a wider range of movement and greater stability of the bladder itself, even when making adjustments during the dive.
The bladder is joined to the shoulder strap by a buckle that can slide on a strap, thus ensuring that there is no traction on the shoulders during inflation.
There is also a stretch pocket with a neoprene panel, abrasion resistant with a strong horizontal zip.
The Mares Slide and Lock System has a capacity of 4 kg each on sizes XS to S, and 6 kg each on sizes M, L and XL.

The redesigned Skeleton design, aluminium back plate reduces excess weight, makingthis unit ideal for overseas dive travel.
That's not all- volume has been reduced by 40% compared to the previous version, contributing to improved stability and trim.
The new backplate offers two different positions for the waist strap according to preference. The new design also stops the straps from sliding without the need for additional trigliders.
To improve comfort when diving, Mares has included a soft back panel, padding in the lower back area and removable shoulder padding. Attached to the tank adapter are two tank straps with stainless steel screws, make adjusting the tank adapter safe and easy.
On the waist strap are two aluminium D-rings for stage tanks to be attached. The stainless steel belt buckle has a silver ceramic coating, making it extremely durable.
The shoulder straps are now independent of the waist belt, to make customising the XR-Rec Trim quick and easy.
The XR-Rec Trim Single Backmount Set is Ultra lightweight, weighing only 2.8kg, making it perfect for travelling to those fantastic and sometimes remote, dive locations.

To increase the durability of this back mount set, Mares has replaced all the aluminium components of the first version with stainless steel.
The stainless steel back plate allows for double tank strap configuration while the stainless steel D-rings and buckles increase strength and offer a unique look.
To improve comfort during the dive, Mares has included back padding and shoulder protection.
The XR-Rec Ice also includes two removable side weight pockets with D-rings.
These optional pockets close with VELCRO® Brand closures and one pocket is extendable for storing accessories.
