The diving industry recognises that there is a desire for decompression programs, that meet the needs of recreational divers, without requiring the rigours or training of extended range or technical diving.
The Decompression Diving program gives you the additional knowledge, skills and experience to dive beyond the decompression limit, using the features of your personal dive computer, your recreational Total Diving System plus a single-stage cylinder!
- Independently plan and conduct decompression dives in a recreational or sidemount Total Diving System,
- To a maximum depth of 40 metres,
- Using a breathing gas with a maximum optimised nitrox blend of 40%,
- For a maximum accumulated decompression time of 15 minutes based on a back gas profile,
- With an equally- or more-qualified dive buddy.
XR Nitrox
This program introduces you to the Extended Range training techniques and skills, that can be completed wearing a standard single-cylinder equipment configuration.
You will earn the SSI Extended Range Nitrox Diving certification after completing this program.
