Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings & Payment

All bookings must be confirmed with payment prior to participation.
A deposit is required to secure your position on courses, trips, or travel packages.

Full payment must be received 14 days prior to the commencement of the activity unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Prices are subject to change without notice until payment has been received.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing.

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 14 days prior to departure: Full refund (less any non-recoverable expenses)
  • 7 to 14 days prior to departure: 10% cancellation fee applies
  • Within 7 days of departure: 25% cancellation fee applies
  • Within 48 hours of departure or non-attendance: No refund

Where third-party providers are involved (e.g., accommodation, boats, travel), additional cancellation fees may apply in accordance with their terms.

3. Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours prior to the activity.

Central Coast Divers reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for rescheduled bookings.

Late rescheduling requests may be treated as a cancellation.

4. Weather & Environmental Conditions

Diving and boating activities are highly dependent on weather and ocean conditions.

Central Coast Divers reserves the right to:

  • Cancel or reschedule any activity due to unsafe conditions
  • Change dive sites, schedules, or activities where necessary

Where activities are cancelled by the operator due to conditions, customers will be offered:

  • A rescheduled date, or
  • A credit valid for future use

Refunds are not provided for cancellations due to environmental conditions unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Minimum Numbers

Some activities require minimum participant numbers to proceed.

If minimum numbers are not met, Central Coast Divers reserves the right to:

  • Reschedule the activity, or
  • Offer a credit or refund

6. Medical Fitness & Responsibility

All participants must be medically fit to dive and participate in activities.

Participants are required to:

  • Complete a medical declaration form
  • Provide medical clearance if required
  • Disclose any relevant medical conditions

Central Coast Divers reserves the right to refuse participation if safety may be compromised.

No refund will be issued where participation is denied due to undisclosed medical conditions.

7. Certification & Experience Requirements

Participants must:

  • Hold appropriate certification for the activity booked
  • Present certification cards and logbooks when requested
  • Demonstrate adequate skill level

Central Coast Divers reserves the right to downgrade or restrict activities for safety reasons.

8. Equipment & Rental Gear

All rental equipment remains the property of Central Coast Divers.

Participants agree to:

  • Use equipment responsibly
  • Report any faults immediately
  • Pay for damage or loss caused by misuse or negligence

Equipment is maintained in accordance with Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements.

9. Travel & Dive Trips

For organised dive travel and tours:

  • Itineraries may change due to operational requirements
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended
  • Passports, visas, and personal documentation are the responsibility of the participant
  • Some components may be operated by third-party providers

Central Coast Divers acts as an agent where applicable.

10. Liability & Waivers

All participants must complete and sign a liability waiver prior to participation.

Diving and boating activities involve inherent risks.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

To the extent permitted by law, Central Coast Divers is not liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Delays, cancellations, or changes outside of its control

11. Insurance

Participants are strongly advised to hold:

  • Dive accident insurance
  • Travel insurance (for trips)
  • Cancellation insurance where applicable

12. Conduct & Safety

Participants must follow all instructions provided by staff.

Central Coast Divers reserves the right to remove any participant who:

  • Acts in an unsafe manner
  • Fails to follow instructions
  • Is under the influence of drugs or alcohol

No refund will be issued in such cases.

13. Media & Photography

Central Coast Divers may take photographs or videos during activities for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in media, please notify staff in writing prior to the activity.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where services are not delivered with due care and skill, you may be entitled to a remedy under law.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking with Central Coast Divers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
