Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty Course

As a technical dive centre, it is only natural for Pro Dive Central Coast to offer the Nitrox course.  Nowadays, enriched air nitrox (shortened to EANx or Nitrox) is becoming the most popular gas mixture, used in recreational scuba diving.   

 Taking only half a day to complete, we normally incorporate this specialty into a package with other courses, like the Open Water course or the Advanced Adventurer course.

Just like air, Nitrox is an air mixture of oxygen and nitrogen. However, in a nitrox gas mixture we will increase the oxygen percentage in a mixture to more than 21%, causing it to be “richer”.  

Diving with enriched air can increase your no-decompression limits, increase your safety and reduce the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air.

You will earn the Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification after completing this program.
