A mask, a snorkel and a fins are the barest essentials you will require in order for you to consider, before taking up freediving.
Your most important choice of Freediving equipment is comfort, then consider being streamlined in the water so the gear has to be light, easy to wear and durable.

Dive Jervis Bay

Due to its latitude and shape, Jervis Bay is an ideal area for marine life to call home.
The bay is home to large as life marine animals, including a huge quantity of smaller macro life, from nudibranchs, fan worms, sea spiders to the elusive Weedy Sea Dragon and a local pipefish, endemic to the bay.
There are also multiple marine reserves with a national park bounding the shoreline, that supports the abundance of marine life, in the area.
Our sojourn south includes a short boat ride south of Jervis Bay to dive with the permanent breeding seal colony.
These incredible animals are so curious and animated, they really do interact with the divers of their own free will.
Because of the shape of the bay and headlands, you can dive Jervis Bay in most weather conditions.
Point Perpendicular, a sheer cliff face protects the bay from the most strongest northerly winds, where you will dive soft coral walls, with multiple swim-throughs and small caves.
To the south of the bay is a small shark nursery, with endless macro life and miles of rocky coastline to explore.
Diving at Jervis bay is a great adventure, one that is very popular with our getaway crew heading down south- Be quick to book as this getaway fills very quickly.

This trip offers you the chance to encounter not only Grey Nurse sharks but also the playful Australian Fur seals at both Narooma and Jervis Bay

What to Expect
Your adventure begins when you meet the friendly crew at Narooma. After a quick 10-minute boat ride to Montague Island, their experienced skipper and dive crew will assess conditions to select the best dive locations.
Weather permitting, we aim to dive two different sites per day.
Sunday afternoon travel north to Jervis bay for Mondays' boat dive to swim with seals
Before each dive, the team will provide a comprehensive safety briefing. Then, it’s time to dive into the crystal-clear waters for a truly memorable experience. Undoubtedly a popular weekend trip away - so you will need to book early.
